Customer Review: A great little sauce pan

I bought this pan at Bed Bath and Beyond. I use it for soup, chili, refried beans, gravies, etc.
The pan has a nice thick bottom for good heat distribution. The sides are thin. It has a nice finish and is one of my better looking pans in my kitchen. It is high quality stainless and non reactive with foods. It has a hole to hang on a hook if needed, and a nice sized handle for easy maneuvering.
I have a gas stove top. It has 4 horizontal prongs that the pans sit on. It will tip if 2 conditions are met. 1) If the pan is empty AND 2) if the handle is in between 2 of the prongs. It will tend to tip towards the handle if there is no support under the handle-side of the pan. So when I put the pan on the stove empty, I make sure and align the handle with a support prong of my stove.
I use this thing about 4 times a week. It is a workhorse in my kitchen and performs very well. It acts like a 49.99 pan. At 19.99, this is a great value for every day duties in your kitchen. Highly recommended. 4.5 stars only because of the handle tipping issue, which isn't really an issue unless you have a 4 pronged gas stovetop. Not to mention I'd much prefer it have a longer handle that is heavy duty as opposed to a short one that got my hands too close to the hot stuff.
